Waaaa, I love the snails very much. They're very kute! If you don't mind, I'll borrow your template and try to make a copied snails
I love to play paper quilling because it can help me feel relaxed, and I can use them as gifts for my family and friends :x
And can I ask you a question? I found that there are a lot of tools or toolkits for paper quilling and I don't know which I should buy. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks

Thank you for the compliment! Of course you can use the idea that is what craftster is for. The only tools I use is a slotted tool made for quilling and straight pins. I do buy the paper that is already cut for quilling. The only other tool I sometime need is a pair of tweezers to help me hold some of the pieces. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for your reply!
Have you ever used a needle tool? I don't know that I should buy only the slotted, or both of them? I think that the needle is used for quilling some very tight shapes rite? And should I buy some kit, because I'm not good at creating a new one (I'm still very new in paper quilling), and I don't have much template to practice

Honestly, I do not use a needle tool to wind my shapes, I can't seem to make nice coils with the needle tool; I need the slotted tool, it is easier.
The website I order all my stuff through is quilledcreations.co
m they seem to have very fair prices and very quality products, I've always been happy with them.

Thanks for your advice
So I'll buy a slotted tool
I took a look at quilledcreation.com
. You're rite, I think their prices are acceptable. I'll order a slotted tool from them.
Btw, have you ever been used the real quilling paper? I mean the strips which they offer on the website. 'coz I have just used strips cut by myself from papers, so I don't know whether there is any difference between the qualities of those papers? (hardness, color, etc.)

I prefer to use paper that is pre-cut for quilling. The paper from quilledcreations.co
m is what I like best. I prefer the pre-cut paper because the edges are even. I have cut my own for practice, but they are never as even as the pre-cut. Some papers that are sold as quilling strips are too thick. I've never run across this from this website, but I've bought some tubes of paper at craft stores and the paper is thicker, causing creases or folds if you are not careful. My best advice would be to buy a multi colored pack of the 1/8 wide paper to start with. This will allow you to practice the techniques. After you know what kind of project you are going to do then you can order more individual colors. You actually use a lot less paper than you think. quilledcreations.co
m also has a chat room with a lot of great quillers and advice there. I learned a lot from that website when I first started. As with anything, it takes practice and working with the small paper takes a 'touch'. But it is pretty simple once you get used to it. Remember, don't limit yourself to 'flat' projects...
