I had purchased a skirt for another project -- cute skirt but a zillion sizes too small (ok I exaggerate a million sizes).  I saw something similar on eBay and the gerbils in my brain started to run around the wheel.  So I took the skirt and a piece of fabric I had ordered for a different project and made a me size skirt.

Before:

After Front:

After Back:

I cut the skirt up the sides and cut the hem off.  I cut 2 wedge pieces for the sides and sewed in a casing then attatched that to the original skirt.  Hemmed it and added trim -- ta da!  Cheesy

Here is a shirt I had gotten on sale cheap -- if it fits the bust it never ever fits the hips so I cut it off about waist level and added a skirt and a pocket.

Gratuitous kitty pic -- he was hunting for supplies for me.  Smiley

That's so cool.
I wasn't sure where that animal print was headed..I thought it was just a nice background that you used for the photo.
Then..ta-da! It's a new skirt!
I like the polka-dots at the bottom, it kinda ties it all together.

Great job on the skirt! The animal print patterns look great. And Mr. Kitty looks way too helpful! How fun. :-)

Thank you -- the pink lace actually blends in a little better than the pictures show.  And Casper is way more help than I need at times -- but he is cute.   Wink
