So I lived with my grandmother until very recently. We shared a huge amount [over fifty pairs hahah] of needles, but when I moved out, I wanted to take a set with me. I couldn't use the basket hers were sitting in, so I needed something that would hold [& transport] mine.

Now, the case itself isn't knit, but I figured this was still the place to post it. If I'm wrong, just let me know!

I ended up making a roll up case [inspired by using a bamboo mat to hold paintbrushes] out of leftover canvas. It keeps my needles organized & makes them easy to bring with me! It wasn't too difficult to make [though tedious], & I definitely endorse something similar for yourselves or the knitter in your life.

Ah! This is exactly what I'm going to make for myself! I recently inherited all of my boyfriend's mom's old knitting stuff, and she has about 12,000 needles.  Or at least it seems like that many when they're all scattered everywhere... I've been trying to organize them for a while and this is the answer!  Thank you!  Grin

You're welcome!! It took me a little while to think of what to do with 'em. It drives me NUTS having to sort through every needle you own in order to find a match pair. This is so great too 'cause you can throw it in your bag or a shelf in a cabinet for easy storage. If you make one, post pictures!! Smiley
