I devoured a lot of comic books when I was little. They were so cheap to get at the flea market.
Needless to say that all of the characters where my heroes. Since we can only post one entry I decided to go with "girl power" and chose: WONDER WOMAN I also saw this Micky Mouse shirt somewhere on TV an where the head was substituted by the wearers head and liked the idea of metaphorical becoming your own childhood hero.
I started with a huge grey T-shirt and added some billion layers of fabric paint with the help of freezer paper stencils. The details (like light reflections) and outlines are handpainted.
After all had dried I transformed the shirt (according to the book "1000 ways to transform a T-shirt") into a neckholder. I could not resist to give it a cape. Wonder Woman does not really wear one but hey, what is a childhood hero without a heroic cape!!
And here it is:

and last but not least, a silly action shot:

I am collecting any kind of skull shaped beads and patches-feel free to send me spare ones  ;-)

Haha cool!
I love that you put a place for your head! It's like those cutout board type things that you see in tourist attractions lol... you're a walking tourist attraction? Uh... ignore that.
Good job!

That is so cool! I love the body! I just reconed a superman shirt yesterday for a girls dress and felt the need to add a cape as well  Tongue great work!

So you, could spend the morning walkin with me, quite amazed. As I am unwashed and somewhat slightly dazed.
