I got this crazy idea in my head a few months ago.  A skull couch.  Why not?  Nevermind my lack of carpentry skills, or the fact that I've never even reupholstered a couch before... when I decided I needed one, nothing was gonna stop me.

Luckily, I have a friend who stepped in to help me with the carpentry part, otherwise I doubt I'd be typing this right now... or, I might be, but with a few less fingers.

I took lots of pics along the way, and I'll share them if anyone wants to see.  I'm pretty dang happy with how it came out!

Whatcha think? Is it anywhere near as cool as I think it is?

 Grin Cheesy
Thanks guys!
Here are the progress pics- starting w/ the skeleton- that I had tons of help with.  I couldn't have done it on my own, so I gotta give mad props to my buddy for taking my ideas and making them functional.

Then I covered it with 90 million dollars worth of foam (only a slight exaggeration!)

Then got to upholstering..

And more..

Then it was done.

I used a some fake suede for it, which made things a little more complicated.  My sewing machine didn't like it all... but it was worth it.
