Challenge 29 entry: HARLEY QUINN (BATMAN) SKATEBOARD

[Craft The World]

Harley Quinn has been a favourite of mine for a long time. She's quirky, funny, crazy, and a little evil: I could always relate to her. Harley is a fan favourite, which I like, because she's not the typical comic grrl: no long ridiculous hair, short skirt, or ridiculous "armor" covering nothing but their naughty bits. She's whimsical, crafty, and wears pants. A good role model to have, if you gotta choose a villain for your role model.

The illustration I worked from on this skateboard was by Bruce Timm, an awesome Batman artist. Harley here is painted onto an old skateboard.

I always loved Harley, particularly her design.  Fun fact, Bruce Timm (and Paul Dini) actually created her, she was never in the comics before they put her in the TV show.  But now she is everywhere because she is teh awesome

If it wasn't from a Bruce Timm illustration as inspiration...I would've guessed it was inspired by illustrator Shane Glines. This Rocks! Gotta love Harley! You did a beautiful job with her!

I love it!  Great work, she is my favorite of all time.  One year I made me and my husband's custumes and we went as Harley Quinn and Joker, my favorite Halloween so far.
