Details of swap:
This swap is open to people who are going on vacation or staycation in the next 4-8 weeks. You'll send one kitschy postcard to each participant while you're on vacay. In return, you'll eceive (at your home address) a postcard from each other swap participant who goes on vacation. Yay!! Real Mail!
Short signup time, but extended sendout time so if you're going on vacation next week (me!) or next month you can participate!
Minimal cost involved, just the simple postcards you can find at any airport/bus station/cheap eats place/roadside attraction, and a stamp, well, times maybe ten or so. Couple of quick lines ("Weather is here, wish you were beautiful") and bam, you're done! Receivers would post pics of front/back of each card -- blocking out your name and home address information. If you want to use it in a future project, great! If you just want to pretend you have friends in far off places, great!
You will be sending to multiple partners -- up to 10 post cards if the swap fills. If it fills, but you'd prefer to send to less than 10, please let me know and I will assign/draw names for your desired # of partners.
Understanding that these will, generally, be sent while you're on vacation, and that you may not have immediate internet connection, please contact the organizer with the basic updates that you've sent and to whom. No DC#s. No hassles. The nature of postcards and mail service providers being what they are, it's entirely possible you will not receive a card or two....since all participants will mail cards to each of the other participants, it will be easy to tell if there's a flaker or if it's a fluke. We will call for angels if necessary.
