These pouches are a fabulous idea!  I haven't embroidered in a very long time, so the simple little icons seem a good way to get back into it.

Congrats on your featured project!  And thanks to Katy for that website.

I love these pouches! I in fact just pulled my sorry butt out of bed to find the tutorial for making lined pouches when I found this one. Awesome!

Has everybody seen Jenny Hart's website
Cool embroidery. Actually made me want to try it.

I love both sublime stitching and subversive cross stitch!!! Cross stitch is dead easy!!! But it can be very, very time consuming, and I found it took quite a bit of patience. There must be a Zen and the Art of Cross stitch Book out there somewhere!  Wink

I love sublime stitching, too!  I've ordered a couple of the patterns, but they haven't arrived yet.
I second indie anna's post - cross stitch is very easy but very tedious and time consuming.  I'm not sure I've ever completed a full fledged cross stitch project with a big picture in it.  But I've started several!   Tongue

woohoo!  now that i've figured out the picture posting thing with my ISP, i'm on a ramage.  look out!!

here's my little pencil case that prevents me from sucking down into the un-cool-ness of med school.

in the second picture, i squished out the plastic so you can see that it's lined with plastic so if my pens leak (i'm a dork, i know) they don't ruin the pretty fabric.

Everything I know about sewing I learned in suture class.

The images don't work for me! Sad

The plastic on the inside is a great idea! Definitely not dorky!!
