Making my first poppet was more fun than anything else I have sewn in ages!

She doesn't have an "official" name yet but I am leaning towards Topanga .  I think I got a little too carried away with the hair and for some reason it reminds me of Danielle Fishel when she first started playing Topanga on Boy Meets World.  I am open to suggestions though.  My first thought- before the hair, was Liliana.

I'm not entirely satisfied with her.  The fabric I used was actually patterned in sort of an alligator skin raised surface but I think my iron was too hot and it melted the pattern.  My next one is going to be out of purple furry material.

Here are a few pictures of her evolution.

Pleased to make your acquaintance!
Cousin It?

Does my hair make my head look too small?

She is so sweet!  I think Topanga is a suitable name for her - she does have the hair!

No, I dont think the head looks too small - big hair is perfect on a poppet!

Welcome to the wonderful & painfully addictive world of poppeting!

Thank you!  I do like Topanga for her.  I think it fits.  I wish my hair was as thick!

Addictive is an understatement!  The fact Joann's is having a HUGE sale does not help matters!  50% off clearance fabrics is too much to pass up!

She's lovely.  She's a great First poppet and that fabric has come out really well.

Thank you!  I am working on a velvety purple one now.  It is intended for my sister but...Topanga may need a friend... Smiley
