We have two cherry trees that produce copious amounts of pie (not sweet) cherries each summer. I have no idea what to do with them. I supposed I could can and/or freeze them, but then what? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm tired of the birds being the only ones who eat them!

The canning cookbook I just got has a couple sour cherry recipes...a jelly and a conserve with walnuts.  There's also a recipe for cherry pie filling as well.

I found them in this book:
The complete book of home preserving

I've got a handful of vintage patterns up for trade/swap (1950s/60s): Monograms, embellished bags, men's robe, lace work, spats/bags, bell bottom, mod dress.  PM if interested.

Thanks! I really should get the Ball book... or at least "borrow" it from my mom.
