Hi again!  This is another messenger bag with the zip top closure.

Front

Side/Back pocket view

Top view showing zip closure and front pockets

Inside view with zippered pocket

With straps extended

The construction is basically the same as the other messenger bag I showed here recently (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=253422.0), except that I had changed the back pocket and put the zippered pocket inside.

If you are interested in making a bag like this, then good news...I made a very detailed tutorial!  Find it here:
http://pinoyinoz.blogspot.com/2008/07/tutorial-messenger-bag-with-zip-top.html

UPDATE: Tutorial can now be found here as well! See Page 3.
Please let me know what you think.  I would very much appreciate feedback! Thank you!  Kiss

Awesome bag!  and thanks for the tut.

I have wanted to make something like this for a while, and this is great.

Oooh, I love your bag (as long as those are yellow ladybugs and not the dreaded cucumber beetle Wink) and your tut is wonderful!  I can't wait to get started on my own bag.  Thanks, also, for your considerate links to magnetic clasps and zippered pockets.

I envy your neatness! this is pretty slick. I like it. the fabrics are unusual but they work, so, you're a winner all round I guess. last time I installed a zipper, was erm, the first time I installed a zip fastening at all; now I have a skirt with something I like to call a "focus" point.  Roll Eyes

well done Wink

Love the fabric!  I say this in every response to a sewn item I like, I wish I could get my sewing machine to work and could start practicing!
