So after trying to sew this for about two months, I'm finally done! Between two constantly breaking sewing machines, class, and slightly confusing sewing instructions, I doubt I will ever touch the pattern again.

BUT - I'm really proud of my work. This is probably one of the best things I've made since I've started sewing.

This is for my cousin and his wife. They are very soon expecting their first child. They don't want to know the sex of the baby, and are very non-traditional about the colors for the baby's room. The colors in the room are slate blue, khaki and white. It took me a while to find the right fabric for this bag, but once I found it, I was really excited to see the finished product.

Here it is Smiley

it's reversible!

Yay for being done!

Thanks for posting this.  You did a very nice job all around - I like the reversible bib.

And, it's always nice to see the options that you get with a pattern - like all of the pockets.  I'm always interested in looking at how bags close - this is one of the few diaper bags that I've seen on Craftster with a zipper closing.

i usually like bags with zippers rather than anything else. That way, nothing can fall out like they can (and usually do from my experience) with a bag with a flap and Velcro or a snap.

Great job...you should be proud! I'm sure you cousin (and his wife) will love all the pockets on the inside...this momma sure would Kiss. Don't feel bad that it took you so long, same thing happened to me. It took me about 2 months(I work F/T) to finish my first bag/diaper bag and it was suppose to be a super easy bag (AB NAPPY BAG). I think it took more time to cut out all the pieces than it did to actually sew the bag together Grin. But after it was done I felt so good. Keep up the great work!

This is beautiful!  You've done a great job, seriously!  I love all the different fabrics you used.  I agree, that the zip top is alot safer and probably more practical.  I really love it!  Cheesy
