JC bein' John Cougar, of course!  I grew up in Indiana, and adored him.  I'd cut out the shape with intentions of doing a virgin mary, and when I saw the challenge, this came to me.  The bottom is glued on plastic stones.. got the cardinals, since they're another Indiana thing.  Smiley

My husband and I graduated from Vincennes University, where, you guessed it, John Mellencamp was first promoted from. One of our music profs played on his first records. Very cool idea. It's definitely an Indiana native thing.

Ha ha!  I thought it would be Jesus Christ, or Johnny Cash . . . who is pretty much my Jesus Christ . . .  Cheesy

This is a great shrine!  I like all the different materials you used.  It reminds me a little bit of the folk art you see of old-time blues & country singers.  It keeps with that tradition really well.

This would go perfect in a little pink house!

Hoosier here, too, but I've been gone since the early 80's. Do I still count?

Way to go!

Hehehe.  I'm not.  Genetically a blend of IU and Notre Dame, but personally- I skipped outta Indiana as soon as I was old enough to do so.  I'm a happy UNO person.  Grin
