I know this belongs in the gallery and I'll move it there once other squares start getting posted but I was so happy with it, I wanted to share NOW!  I made a test block today using some of the fabric I'm sending to one of the groups I'm in and this is how it turned out:

it's the Card Trick square from Quilter's Cache but I used 4 different fabrics rather than just 2.

I'm planning to make 2 lap quilts with my different squares so each group is getting different fabrics - one kiddie fabrics and the other will be crafting/sewing fabrics.

I hope it's okay to have the same block, because I started cutting pieces for Card Trick yesterday!  Too funny!

Also, can somebody define "scrappy"?  I thought that just meant a block had lots of different fabrics, but that the block pattern itself could be traditional.

I think it's fine and I'm not sure yet if I'm doing this for everyone else or not - I'll decide once I get the fabrics and see if they are made for this design or something else.

HOLD THE PRESSES!

I realized that I didn't make that last post as clear as I should have.  Angelbum is definetly in the swap and will be added into someone's group so don't print address labels, etc. yet!!!

Also, is there anyone that signed up for 2 or 3 slots but is willing to give it up?  If nobody volunteers, I will give up my slot since it was my mistake in leaving her out, but I was hoping that someone signed up for additional slots and was reluctant.

I didnt get angelbum's info or maybe you didnt send it yet...hmmm...but anyways that was nice of someone to give up a slot! Smiley

Are we allowed to post to the gallery yet?  Since Homerof2 already made the Card Trick block, I changed my mind and made a different one for myself.  It's 41 pieces, and I'm so tickled with it that I want to show it off!

i personally like the idea of no two blocks the same i think it will give it more personality. i made up a test block in each of the 2 blocks i chose and i think my second block i might change

Sure you can post your own blocks to the gallery!

I sent the group 2 info to Audrey for her to forward on but she must not be home yet.  I will resend the info (I didn't save a copy to my sent folder so I have to recompile it) when I get chance.

Your sewing fabrics are so cuteee!

I'm looking to send my Step-Sister's Choice quilt to a new home.  If you're interested in swapping for fabric/scrapbooking supplies, send me a PM.
