Hey everyone, just wanted to show off my first amigurumi.  I made it for my boyfriend.  I used the pattern found here at http://cthulhucrochet.blogspot.com/2008/05/tiny-cthulhu-free-pattern.html with a bit of embellishment.  It took about 3 full days of work, from when I woke up to bedtime.  Lots of photos ahead!

Here he is with his night cap and star-spawn "plushie."

And my cat thinks he's extremely nombly.  That's a crocheted catnip squid in the background.

Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated!

People who take time to be alone usually have depth, originality, and quiet reserve.

He's missing his liver. That's how some kids react to the cafeteria food. The lucky ones.

Nice Cthulhu!  Before this post, I had no idea what a Cthulhu was.  I'd seen them before, but no clue.  I googled it, learned a bit about it, and have decided that one day I would like to make a Cthulhu too!  I love the fact that yours has his own plushie.  Thanks for sharing, and for the pattern link, and for the education!

Very nice Alecto. It's always cool to see the things people make with my patterns. I like his little night cap  Smiley Did you change the tentacles a bit from the original pattern? They look smaller than when I do them, or more tightly curled or something? Different, but still good, and definately cute!

Thanks for sharing!

I want to kidnap him! I love Cthulhu so much and this is probably the CUTEST Cthulhu I've ever seen. I love his little outfit and plushie. Cheesy

Also, he's an awesome first amigurumi! Great job.

Hi,

Awesome to know you're on these forums too.  I followed your pattern for the tentacles but after several tries they still came out more coiled than the ones in your photos.  I guess it was because of my own stitch size and tension.  Thanks for commenting!
