Thanks for the compliments everyone.  Frosty provided the pattern link. I made the garter stitch one. Cast on 75 stitches and knit for three yards, which turned out to be 380 rows. I did try the lace version  several times which casts on 300 rows and knits for a yard but I couldn't get the lace to look nice and I was running out of time. Especially once I realised that I had been reading three yards but thinking three feet. So, you could knit it sideways if you wanted.

The yarn is laceweight 80% wool 20% alpaca and it is gorgeously soft. My dd was hinting muchly about wanting to keep it. I have promised to make her an Ice Queen out of the same yarn. I don't think she needs a scarf twice as long as she is. It was hard to unravel though. I had it finished and it tore while blocking, there was a flaw in the yarn about a foot long, so I ended up having to undo back to row 220 and reknit. I weighed it before I sent and the whole thing weighs approximately 50g.

Needle size was 6.5 mm bamboo straights. I think the pattern actually calls for 6mm but I had that one already.

So sorry for being late in posting my pics! I received a lovely lovely amazing patchwork mini bag from my wists that i just love from the talented Sansa!!! it is perfect! it fits exactly the right amount of stuff: my keys, phone, cards, girly OB thing , and money (folded really small), lipstick & it's pink!! What else  does a girl need??!!
