Ok. So as soon as i saw this month's challenge I new who I would pick. The thing is that I'm a little to old to be going around wearing/carrying Rainbow Brite methinks. So then i came up with the idea to make me dogs wear "all the pretty colors!" (as Lurky from the cartoon would always say!) I think thats why I always like this show is that it is always about bringing happiness to the world with colors. Always without further ado, here is the process and my entry.

This was the fabric I bought to make it.

Here is the pattern i created for it

Getting the shirt done! This was the longest part for me lol.

Sewing on the skirt

They are done! As modeled by Mercedes and Lexus. Please ignore the messy office floor. It gets that way after you have a zoo of animals. lol

Side of Lexus

I hope you enjoyed and hope you'll excuse the feet and legs in the picture..Dogs aren't exactly the best and smartest models lol.

A few days ago I was talking to a friend of mine about Rainbow Brite! I still love her, even though I may be considered too old by some to do so. Wink

I totally love your idea and I think if I had a pet who wouldn't tear an outfit to shreds in seconds I would make one of these. Great job. Smiley

LOL, those are adorable!!!  I love the names of your babies as well!!! Cheesy May I ask where you brought the striped fabric from?  There is a pattern from New Look that has a t-shirt dress made out the same fabric for little girls.  I was wanting to do the same, but I didn't know where to find it.

Well my dogs *love love love* dresses. It usually means company or going outside for them so i think thats why. They get really excited when I pull out the clothes thou. Smiley Anyways, I got the fabric from Jo-Ann's in their calico section. I think it was stuck in with the reds and pinks i believe.

This really made me smile. Thank you for a great memory flashback.
