I'm going to watch the movie in the morning ladies. Hubby was home today or I would have watched it today.

Gotta say craftewoman made me a bit nervous about making something as cool as her head on a stick!!  One amazing little head she made.

Yes, he's needle sculpted. I didn't even know that I could do that until Monday night, when I sat down with it and fooled around for 2 hours. You just never know until you try...

I have a couple of books on cloth dolls and such but do you know off any that are good with pictures?  I usually can figure something out with pictures.  I so hope my partner wants a doll cause I am soooooo making one!  (or two)

When I started making them I went to the library, and did research online. Mostly my online research was the most productive. I'll send you some links in a pm. There's all kinds of free patterns and such. Also I bought one back issue of Soft Dolls and Animals Magazine. Ghilie suggested it to me because I wanted to learn the technique of how to do inset eyes on a cloth doll. I still haven't tried it.
However, there is a tutorial on how to do needle sculpting with pics that I found useful. I'll send you a link for ordering the magazine too.
hanging out on the Poppet Along thread located in Miscellaneous/ craftalongs has taught me a lot about doll construction, and all of the doll patterns that I've made so far, have been alterations of that pattern. Really, it's been trial and error, and discussing with the poppeteers that has taught me the most. OK, I'm of to PM you.
