It is a butterfly. I'm just going to pull off the body part and attach the wings to a poppet.

Sheesh!  So violent...

Hehehe sorry  Wink I promise I'll put the "body" beads to good use on something else.

none of my business, but you know what would be totally ironic?

Give the poppet a pet caterpillar.
(consisting of the body of the butterfly, if that wasn't obvious)

creative criticism always appreciated!

That might be cool. I'll have to see how the body part comes off.

I've taken far too long to post this. I have had so much going on in my life for the past few months that I have hardly had time to eat and sleep.

These two lovebugs were generously made for me by pickled_peppers in return for a crocheted scarf.

Oops, I think they might like some privacy...lol. ^_^

(They have magnets in them so that they kiss.)

Thank you again to pickled_peppers, and I'm so sorry that I took so long!

Some people have midnight snacks.
I have midnight amigurumis. ^_^

You could either stitch around the holes with embroidery thread to add some weight to their edges or depending on the size, maybe put in gromets (that's how corset makers do it)

You were born an original, don't die a copy!!

Tongue I never remember to peek here!

The body pulls off the butterfly very easily - it is only on there with a dab of hot glue.  I kept the "antennae" part on mine to use as the clips to attach to my poppet.  The wire bends easily around her neck and holds them in position, and yet is quick and easy to remove for clothing changes, or for a different look.

I just picked up a pair of small wings to use on a couple of dotee dolls for the round 2 swap Cheesy

The gorgeous outfit that AI made for me in the private swap is modelled by Manny in the poppet along thread.  The corset is perfect, and the stockings are so damn cute!  I have already been playing with the extras that she sent - it would be impossible for me to try to take a pic of everything as it is scattered into different crafting areas LOL

I have been lax in posting photos.  I received over a week ago.  Things are just nuts around here.  (I think I have finally given up on the idea that things are ever going to calm down Grin)

igobylorib and I did a whimsy jar swap.  She really did her research and sent the most amazingly personalized jar full of goodies (using the term jar loosely - as there was a lot of other stuff in the package as well).

So as not to completely hog the thread, I will do some in clickable thumbnails.

Everything spread across my dining room table - filled the whole table!

Paper bits - stickers, cool frames, fabulous envelopes AND a book cut in the shape of a butterfly - something I have been dying to try.

Assorted papers

Wood bits and sparkly things

Misc things - LOVE the mahjong tile - and there were two little compasses - I've already used one on a purse I made from an album that was the soundtrack to Indiana Jones (the first one).  There was a little messed up spot on the cover and the compass fit perfectly and looked SO perfect - I can't believe I forgot to get a picture.

Lots of little metal bits.  I recently took a class from Tim Holtz and these are going to be just perfect when I find time to do some more of what I learned!

Tons o' letters - and I use a LOT of letters in my crafting - so these are very welcome

Vintage labels and flash cards.  Can't wait to use "special delivery" for a new baby.  And the little box that was originally for medicine is great!

Beautiful flowers, buttons and trims

And the most beautiful button ever - I'd have swapped just for this!

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I received the most awesome and amazing pin cushion from barbolot! I told her I would love one with an Americana theme, and boy did she come through!
