Take it from a Pirate.. This Rocks.
So I have stamped squids into leather work, but I a in awe of the cast iron.
What can be cooler than an Iron squid.

Also for owning lots of metal that rusts (swords mainly) you can either keep it oiled (which is time consuming), or just seal it with a can of clear metal sealer (I use Krylon's sealer).

I love it! I wish I could take a class where you make something this COOL!

I know! I loved that class, my teacher was awesome!! I can't wait to take a fabric printing class next semester!!!

That is so amazing and I loved your story on the long process to make it. Must be fun to be an art major....MMmmmm...maybe I need to go back to school.....

It most definitely is!!!!  I just hope I can find a job, lol

I am definfitely going to pick up a can of metal sealer here real soon. I need to hold on to it for a while  so I can submit it in my portfolio for school byt maybe after that i'll enter it in a juried show or somrthing. you guys have given me confidence!!   Cheesy

It is beautiful, can you encase it in resin?Huh That way you could incorporate a hanger and then you could hang it? It would be a crying shame to have it rust up on you.
