Here's some photos of my goodies from the lovely Trocks:
(my roommate is modeling)

first off, a supremely useful apron made from sweet upholstery fabric - didn't get a full frontal view, but it's an apron. you get the idea.

i love pockets!

next up, a bag made of deelishus clock fabric and lace.

very steampunk, my favorite!

and finally, a hat of the 'fascinator' variety, with roses and veiling (it's a bit hard to see the netting in the photo.) Great photo - the flower print curtains, cat's eye glasses, and roomie's goofy expression really go together, no?

there were some cute little extras, though i forgot pictures of those. a little victorian necklace with the prettiest chain, and a vintage book of needles. both completely adorable!

here were a couple of pictures of the stuff i sent trocks:

she couldn't get a good action shot of the crocheted neckwarmer, so here's a medium-okay shot:

this is so fuzzy and warm - i love it and want to make one for myself, but not until it's colder. yarn is hot.

and the (also crocheted) lace cuffs, i thought they show to their best under sleeves:

okay, enough of tooting my own horn.

Trocks, you were a lovely swap partner! Thanks a bajillion!

That bag is very cool - I love the clock fabric! And that fascinator is really lovely! I was hoping we'd see some cool hats in this swap. Smiley I love the fabric on that apron, too!

I'm glad you liked everything goodnorevil!
I almost died when I saw the apron's fabric.  Haha.
As for the clocks, I got it and knew I'd find someone who would love it.  Smiley

tantrum has had some camera issues, so I'm going to go ahead and post the package I made her here. Sadly, I got less-than-awesome pictures, but you should get the general idea.

She said she was decorating her guest room in a Victorian theme, so I made some wall art:

Another view from the side - I was having a really hard time photographing this in a satisfactory way!

I covered six of the squares with fabric, then stained the remaining three and made collages. A close-up:

The collages are made from real Ladies Home Journal issues from 1889. Smiley

For a wearable item, I decided not to press my luck with jewelry, but to go with what I knew: crochet. These are "Afternoon Tea Gloves" in a color called "Last Night's Wine":

I sadly have no action shots, as they were too small for me. I hope they fit you, tantrum! If you can get an action shot, please post it! Smiley

And for a small, I made a set of ten magnets using the aforementioned Ladies Home Journal:

I also included various rubber stamps on a Victorian theme (a corset, key, stopwatch, tea cup) and a supply from an aborted project idea - a cameo mold.

I had a lot of fun crafting for this swap! I hope you like everything, tantrum!

Ebay has been a wonderful source of vintage magazines! I have a ton from the Depression and WWII, also, and some McCall's from the 1950's.
