I just read that article.. it makes sense, but its still pretty sad that because some people can't follow the laws concerning killing these birds that other people who innocently stumble upon molten feathers can't keep them and appreciate them. very sad Sad

I definitely committed lots of federal offenses as a kid.. i LOVED feathers, i lived in idaho for about 5 years when i was a little kid and they have  a ton of different types of really pretty birds up there so I was always finding feathers.. and keeping themShocked

I have been so bummed that I couldn't craft. My great aunt used to sew feathers and design feather garments for Broadway.

Her "factory" made garments for all the big names, but I don't who she exactly was, that was my father's side of the family and when he left my mom he took all his momentos with him. Finally he died intestate, so Texas inherited it all, and probably dumped it.

I had visions of following in her footsteps and creating beautiful things with the feathers around me. (I wore and wore, until it fell apart, the pheasant feather choker she made me as a teen.)

<SIGH> you are so right, people do all sort of horrible things, and those of us who recycle, reclaim, reuse, and nurture nature get totally stomped on. Because we have no money and no power. (Ecclesiastes 4:1)

I'm going to go knit, so watch out I'm using pointy sticks and I'm bummed!!!

knitting looms, embroidery machines, weaving,  knitting software~all discounted!

I took pictures of the two custom items I had made this round.
The sushi roll was made by aeronberry and covers the extra roll of toilet paper.
Kitschkween made the Hello Kitty earrings for me to look like a pair that Tarina Tarantino made.

Thank you both for the fab items!
