Really? That's incredible! And incredibly sad that they're not mentioned.

Thanks Lapoli.  It is a good thing that Lana worked things out. I agree.  I think she thought that the other kids wouldn't play with her, but she gave it a try somehow and now is much happier.  She told me that Lily "has a better attitude on the outside, but she's still a mean girl on the inside".  I laughed, but after thinking about it a bit I realize that it's probably true...the teacher perhaps talked Lily into being a bit nicer, but did she really change on the inside?  I am always amazed at Lana's insight.  As they said out of the mouths of babes.....

That's really sad that the Holocaust wasn't mentioned.  I wonder what's up with that?

I added a new hair doodad to my shop, and put in a better picture of "The Little Calorimetry That Could." I'd say the new pic is a tad more color-accurate, but I really put it in there so that people could see how cute it is modeled! I'm petite, but my head is pretty much normal sized. I'll sew the buttons on to custom-fit your head size, or just send them along if you'd rather do it yourself.

Hi there AQ! Hmmm, are there any crafts one can do with asphalt? Smiley

I'm hunting around in my closets, and am annoyed to find there have been moths in the coat closet (sometime in the past, oh, five years or so). They mostly seem to have munched on my nice cashmere coat  Angry  Angry  I'll have to decide if I can salvage it wil needlefelting or if I should just cut it up. Gah.  I think my fabrics in the fabric closet are ok, but I'll have to check on some of the nicer woolens that I've had for a while.

GROWL SNARL HISS...

I'm working on my entry for the current challenge - yeah I'm procrastinating...
I'm making an altered book from a 1980's encyclopedia. I didn't look at which volume, because I have the whole set. After I got my pages for Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the prairie and Raggedy Ann done - I turned to the section on the Holocaust. I used to spend hours poring through the books and pictures sobbing - my mom kept asking me why I brought them home, but I didn't really have a reason.

So - it turns out I grabbed an H volume - I get to hitler, turn the pages looking for Holocaust and it's not there.
FIVE pages for h..... and not a single word about the 6 million. The injustice breaks my heart.

Sadly - Selkie

Sadly that doesn't surprise me.  Did you know that there are still academic history journals with strong anti semitic ties?  That shocked me when I found that out. Sad

Added a link in my shop to a separate page with a gallery of some clothing. Most is unworn or nearly unworn, although some items are as much as five years old (maybe more  Roll Eyes ).  These are mostly summer items, I'll go thru the winter things later.
