sin esperanza, I don't care much for poppets, but the zombie poppet you made is awesome!

truly beautiful book cover!  msmelissa, i am impressed...how did you make this?  it looks like silk screening and embroidery?  it's such a lovely design.

I received from missmelissa too!  She has been a busy girl.  We agreed to a super-large package so ---

First and foremost, I got a shadowbox cut photo of one of my favorite movie posters.  I am showing two photos since, in the first, you can tell sort-of that it is multiple images but I wanted to highlight the amount of work and just how awesome this looks in person ....

front on - if you look closely you can see there are some cast shadows

but here is the 'magic'  - the robot and city are very 3D

The second item was a book cover.  Mine doesn't have as much embroidery work as christinacoghill's but the swirly patterns are painted on - and go around the back

I also got resin pendants, but asked for something bright and more upbeat

PLUS the note cards and candy!!!

I have never seen the Timtam balls before and have hidden them in my secret stash -- very cleverly missmellissa gave me the regular ones too to use as a decoy for the dear hubby --  looking gracious and generous even as I am being a sneak Smiley

Thank you so much missmelissa - everything perfect and I love it -- I now have to find the perfect spot for my shadow print....

wow - missmelissa went above and beyond as always - she does some amazing work, aye??!!
I should have remembered to tell you missmelissa recipients that she has a fondness for those caramel apple lollipops... and am kicking myself that I just remembered that now!  Far too late for this swap.  I can't believe I forgot about the caramel apple lollipops!!! Embarrassed

Fantastic stuff, missmelissa!

I spent my weekend crafting with friends and my poppet for me is 85-90% finished. I need to make more hair and stitch it on (she's getting a short hair do and it needs a bit more coverage), and make her outfit. I could photograph her naked and with just some of her hair (from the front, it doesn't look too bad Wink ), but I'd rather post her finished. I have 2 big projects to work on tomorrow, so I don't know if I can steal any time for her, but maybe...
