Great projects!  How hard is that iron on vinyl to work with?  I've thought about making placemats for my two younger children with it, so that there's a chance it won't be completely ruined if they use it with marinara sauce.

The tent looks great, as do the frillies and the frock coat!  I hope cat9 got some good pictures of the detail work.  I always envy detail work (mostly because I'm too lazy to do it for myself).  Wink

thanate and Cat9, you guys have some mad sewing skills. I love how you coordinated your efforts, too! Fantastic!

And, I have this thing about tents, so now I want one of those tepees in my living room. I'd be sitting in it right now, listening to the rain hammer on the roof and windows of the house. I'd be so happy!

And, longtimegeek, I'm glad you like the lunch bag! Here's a picture of it with it's fraternal twin:

And, muria, the iron on vinyl was super easy to work with! Just don't let it stick to itself (it peels apart, but I was afraid I'd tear it) before you put it on the fabric, and keep the iron away (I did melt a small spot, but I re-melted it back together and you could barely tell!). Next time I get a 50% off coupon, I'm buying more- folks are getting re-usable lunch bags for Christmas...

Thanks so much for posting a picture, Patty_o_furniture!  I can't wait to get some poles for the teepee.  I know it is going to be a HUGE hit on Christmas morning!
I love that they can collapse really easily, so it can go indoors or outdoors!

superhooker - I am not sure what length poles you need but I know our Dollar Tree has really nice durable bamboo posts Wink
Oh and on my journeys out today I came upon flame material.  Oh yeah.  I am sooo glad that tomorrow is my sewing day!!
Okay.  I say that now but we will see how I feel about that tomorrow - Collin has made me promise him that I make him a fabric shield with the fabric/dragon material he forced me to buy today as well - yes.  He totally forced me to do it.  I told him I didn't need it and that it did not go with the quilt I was going to be making for him but he got that look like he was about to cry and so I ended up getting a yard of it...
So not only will I be working on a firey skull creation I will also be making fabric shields...

All righty ... As promised, pictures of me in the set of frillies I made for myself. Also, a few pics of details as Thanate was having camera trouble. And in tribute to Thanate's frillies and frock coat shot, a pic of me in my frillies and the most fabulous frock coat, which instantly transforms me into a pirate queen!

(You'll note my dog has to be involved.)

I seem to have missed buttoning a button in this one Smiley

Yes, thanate did a beautiful job with both coats Smiley

And I probably could dress my dog like a parrot, but I'm sure as heck not wearing him on my shoulder...

It looks like I am going to get to do the meet and drop next week if all goes well!  feelix lives way on the other side of town from me and with the little one I knew it would be a bit before things started to settle down over in her neck of the woods but it looks like I am going to get to see her (and hopefully her tiny one) next week!
It has been killing me to not post up my creations for this swap but it's all good... sooooon. soon. Grin

this has truly been a great gallery.
I do hope that someone runs a round two of this!
