HOLA!

Well it has been a productive few weeks since I started to crochet and I have reached a problem.

I made a hat for a friend and now it seems like every girl in my grade wants one. So the problem is I have no clue where to purchase yarn. Undecided in Hamilton the only places I can think of are Wal-Mart and Zellers (limited selection...) so I’m looking for somewhere to purchase yarn... I do not want to order it online, because... well plain and simple I need it now... So if anyone could tell me somewhere I can get some nice yarn then I’d greatly appreciate it.

Mucho Gracious!

there aren't a lot of options that I foudn while I lived there.  There's a small yarn store in ancaster as well as on Ottawa St (near the fabric land).  They are both kind of expensive though.  Other than that it's zellers (most of them have an okay selection), Walmart, or Micheals.

Good luck.

i absolutly hate going to michaels, i always spend more than i can actually afford. but ther is a place up in paris ontario called (i belive) madme mary's or something like that. i will post agian when i find out. but it is worth the drive! it is a warehouse so it is usually half price of what michales sells it for. the prices are fantastic iusually go up there with my friend emma every 2-3 months for yarn and stuff. hope that helps i will post agin with the "real" name Wink

Though this thread is old...

There's also the Yarn Emporium in Ancaster! A bit pricey, but it's a "real yarn store", so that makes it worth it! Wink

I was just going to recommend the Needle Emporium in Ancaster!   She has a website:

http://www.needleemporium.com/

The lady who runs the store is super nice, and it is a great local small business!  Filled from floor to ceiling with tons of great different yarns, not just the cheap stuff that you find at Walmart, but "real yarn"  Smiley  I definitely recommend this store!
