Panda Portrait (Pastel)!

I was invited to create some art for a silent auction diner for the National Zoo. It's Tai's Bearday Party, he turns 3 and the event to help raise money for the pandas! I'm excited but also pretty nervous.

This piece is 11"x14" created with Panpastels and pastel pencils on colourfix paper.

I never worked with oil pastels before, so I took a pretty big risk with this one. I'm very nervous about this piece and I would appreciate feedback on so I can improve a little more with the medium.

Thank you so much! It really is an honor to be doing something like this! I think I called everyone I knew when they gave me the invitation, I just couldn't believe it! I really feel very fortunate to be apart of this. Thankfully, we live in New Jersey so we're able to attend the event. It's going to be our vacation for this year, pretty exciting stuff!

you did beautiful work!  the eyes are always so hard to do and you captured them beautifully!  very very nice!  I am very picky about drawn/painted art about what I like for myself....and yours is excellent!  I would pay to own it!!!
