I made my first ever raggy quilt.

Did it for my boys who are obsessed with Finding Nemo.  Now I wish I had made it larger since they all 3 fight nonstop to be under it at the same time!

From start to finish, got it done in under 5 hours, and that's with 3 boys helping!  That's about all the time I can manage nowadays before I put it in the corner and forget about it.  (dont look in my closet of shame, please!)

Here's my next project I plan to copy in CORDUROY!  OOOH, I just LOVE corduroy!  I can't wait!

Used the book from

And no, I'm not the author, it's not my site.  I just really like making these!

Very Nice !!!!
What size did you cut your strips?
My Grandkids would love that quilt too, they are big Nemo fans too.

the width of the strips depends on how big you want the quilt.  There's a mathmatical formula (ok, little chart)  LOL that shows how wide to make your strips depending on how many strips you want, and how big you want the quilt.  I hate math, so the book really helps.  LOL

I love this!  I just made two patchwork rag quilts...  I wish I would have tried this first!  This would be great for when you want to make something special, and need to make it fast!

Oooh. I've never heard of a raggy quilt. I like the look though. I'll have to try that. I'm still working on the wall hanging I plan to post in this category, except it's paper pieced (too scared to make it the traditional way).
