How beautiful! I love the fabric you chose, it's lovely and looks absolutely adorable on your little one, good going!

You did an amazing job. My daughter wants a dress like this in all white for her baptism next month. I think the Simplicity pattern 3771 would work perfectly for the top, but what pattern did you use for the shirt? Any help would be appreciated.

I used McCalls 4285 for the lower part of the dress. I used all of the bottom pattern pieces for the lining (white opaque lining fabric), and the sheer part. I then basically cut the front panel on an angle so it wouldn't fall back together. Does that make sense? The front panel piece is meant to be placed on a fold and cut, so I just cut it out completely (not on a fold) and then cut a tapered line, keeping all the fabric at the top and less at the bottom. I finished the edge with lace. If that makes no sense, let me know and I'll try to explain better. Good luck! I'm sure she'll look beautiful! Post a picture when you're done! I'd love to see it.

Very beautiful!!! You did a fantastic job on this!  I made one for my daughter to wear to Disney World when we went in May (I made the pattern myself) It is sooo hard to find the right fabric! Yours looks really good!

Thank you so much! My daughter would love love love to go to Disneyland or World. I never went until I was a teen and I'm sure it would have been even more "magical" as a child. Thanks again - you should post pictures of your dress - I'd love to see it! The fabric was the hardest part to choose, wasn't it? There's nothing perfect out there that I could find and I REALLY looked!
