How cute you and the dresses are. Loving the second one best. But your prom dress is fabulous. So different looking but cute at the same time.

Can make dresses for your princess!

thank you all so much! About the pattern pieces for the bathing suit... I just kind of cut and sewed. The bodice was basically my full bust measurement, minus about 3 inches for negative ease. It doesn't have side seams (I think), oh and you can also subtract another inch because of the loop in the middle. The band on the bottom was sewn like straps, and just topstitched onto the bottom of the bodice, after the loop was attached, and I just topstitched the straps on too. Not the neatest finishing job, but it is sturdy. Hmm.... as for things I would like to know before I go to Oahu.... any good fabric shops?Huh I'm sure there are, but I would be grateful for any recommendations  Grin
Edit: the orange dress is made out of cotton lycra jersey knit.

i love the last dress dearly.
you've done a fantastic job matching some really different fabrics. not many people would choose to put the tweedy green and the peachy floaty fabric together, but it works SO well!

well done for being fabric brave!
