So I got a sewing machine for x-mas. (yes it is now almost July). And I had just started, and finished, my first project today!! Hooray for the Cheytown dress!!! My lil girl loves it and I made a matching headband to tame her wild hair!!
What do you all think!?

Very pretty. I love gingham! Now I almost want to go cut up DH's shirts for my DD! Not quite. She has more clothes than he does. It wouldn't be fair!

I think I would take the girls to the thrift shop and let them pick from the whites, stripes, checks and hawaiian shirts! Especially since most men wear such boring shirts.

That's pretty much what we did! Only think bag day at church yard sale! Hers had the funniest snoopy on the pocket. Mine was Pappy's FAVORITE shirt---he wore it everywhere ALL the time. He was so sad to part with it when it became threadbare, but I rescued it--and now I wanna surprise him!
