Woo! First post!

Okay, for FanimeCon this year, I made five and a half costumes mostly in three days. And yes, we were Pokemon!

I made all of them with Simplicity or Burda patterns except for Horsea (me) and Ash. For mine I used a vintage Vogue pattern from the 50's and for Ash I sewed two different store-bought shirts together and made bias tape and such for the trim. I also had to cover and embellish the hat.

Here's a group picture of all of us. I lost the instructions for Meowth's dress the day before and had to wing it. Mew's petticoat ripped towards the top, so it was sagging. I also didn't really know how to hem things before this, so let's just say it was a learning experience. I didn't get any sleep for two and a half days, but it was so much fun!  =P

Tell me what you think!

We were Mew, Ponyta, Pikachu, Ash, Meowth and Horsea. Very close though! Most people didn't get mine until I showed them the giant fin on my back (which you can't see in these pictures unfortunately).

Well, I was close.  I knew it was something with a flaming tail!  They're all adorable.
