I'm sewing my own wedding dress, here's the pattern

I am thinking of using silk dupioni or silk taffeta. Can anyone tell me a good place to buy silk fabrics? Also, Are there any tricks to sewing with silk?

THANKS!!

denverfabrics.com or, on occasion, Fabricmartfabrics.com (they buy closeout, designer fabrics so their stock is always rotating).  You can also buy silk from Fabric.com (they have a swatch service available too).

silkbaron.com is a good site, they have ALOT of different silks, and at good prices. http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/2034/arcticwhitewavy1jc4.jpg http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/8418/ivory400dz0.jpg These two might be good colors to go with. Silkbaron carries both dupioni and taffeta as well as georgette which might be good for a veil.

Silk can be a real pain sometimes, because if you don't pin it down right, it can wiggle and slide around all over the place! 0_0 So just be sure to stick a pin wherever you think you'll need one =]

And remember that it frays a lot!
