I am would like to make the type of socks that will not show when I am wearing ballerina flat shoes, so regular anklets are out. Any advice for a free and easy pattern for a sock beginner would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks but these are anklets. I am looking more for footies, i.e. socks that will not be able to be seen under the ballerina flats that everyone is wearing.

you could try a mary-jane pattern and leave out the strap
