Thanks for the link.
The princess line is really flattering.
I would love to see if anyone makes this dress...
I have downloaded it, and will try to make a toile for it first before I go out shopping for taffeta or whatever.
What fabric do you think the polka-dotted stuff is the model is wearing? Looks kinda stretchy?
(She doesn't look all that plus sized to me either. The world is a crazy place!)

She is not all that plus sized...maybe bigger than the standard model but she doesn't wear plus sizes. That dress looks terrible on her...it is too big. They have it pinned some I think( in the midriff area), and it is still too big on her.
It is a pretty dress...nice for dress up...a bit fussy for a novice sewer like me to try to adapt to a more everyday kind of style.

I don't know if anyone is interested in shelling out the cash ($12.50...ehhh), but speaking of Burda, I recently bought the June issue of Burda magazine and they had a section with around 4-5 cute plus sized dresses. They run from size 44 (bust 39 1/4 in) to 54 (around 50 in bust).

Hmmm- so you have to sign up to actually access the patterns... Just wondering if its worth it? The patterns are really cute but I'm still learning and it looks like I'd have to enlarge even the plus size patterns? (I'm a 20/22)

Advice? 'Cause I just saw a coat pattern that I absolutely love and now I'm wondering if I should try it?

Sign-up is free and completely safe (no spam whatsoever) so at least you don't have anything to lose by signing up Smiley

Now there are pants...but what is the size?
And what are those weird wrinkles in the front?
Is it another case of skinny model in too-large clothes? (Can't pin these duds like the dress in the first pattern was)
What do you reckon?

'kay, that made me snicker. Just a bit.  Wink

You're right, Carillia, there's really no down side to signing up... so I guess I'll be stalking the boards for pattern alteration advice!
