I was looking for something to hang some new earrings I'm making on to dry. I had a strip of plastic canvas, but no frame to attach it to. I rolled it up, overlapped it 2 squares and secured with a few brads. Here are some pics. Could be used for a fair I suppose or just to organize earrings, and the stuff comes in tons of colors, and so do the brads.

Great idea!  Does that stuff take paint at all?  If it did, I'd want to make and paint one for home use! (not too big on the plastic-y look)  Maybe spray paint?  Ooooh, now I've got to try it with a can of black paint (I've got some of that plastic mesh stuff in my stash - can never pass up a sale on something I just might need some day Roll Eyes.)  Thanks for sharing!

I have been meaning to pick up some plastic canvas to make an earring holder - I like the way you made yours.  Very easy and effective.

I am not sure how well they would take paint - perhaps if you scuffed the plastic up first with some  sandpaper so the paint could adhere it would work better.  Plastic canvas comes in all colours including black.

Wow so simple yet amazing! I love it!!

I think they sell plastic canvas in colors but I'm not sure

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

Cool Idea!

I hang squares and circles (mesh comes in shapes, too) by a ribbon loop on the wall, and display/store my earrings there.

With enough earrings, it doesn't matter what color the mesh is. Of course, there's no such thing as "enough earrings" Grin
