So just for fun and since I have so much beautiful quilting fabric, I decided to try making one.
It's not too huge, perfect size for a baby (working on that too!).

Very cute, have you quilted it yet? If you haven't I would sew along the seam lines after putting a safety pin in each block to hold the pieces together or use matching pearl cotton or embroidery flosses to tie the corners of the blocks. If you don't quilt it the batting and the fabric will not stay together taking the chances that the batting may come apart when washed.
Very good first kick-at-the-cat!
