I was thinking of a swap in which all items were knitted (or crocheted) out of one skein. The only restriction I would want to add is no hats or scarves - to keep everyone creative! "One skein," of course, can mean a lot of different things, depending on the type of yarn being used, but that will be part of the fun, I think. Let me know if this seems like a good idea to you. I'm in the middle of a huge knitting project (a sampler blanket), and would love to make something fun and small as an in-betweener!

I think that sounds like a great idea for a swap....great way to use up odd skiensof yarn you have laying around.  It will be fun to think of small 1 skein projects too, though all I can come up with at the moment are a pillow or purse.

Good luck on the sampler blanket.  I've been thinking about making another one of those.
