... or swim

I had a random square of yummy brown corduroy that I didn't know what to do with until I realized I could incorporate my fab obsession of whales into my craftiness

I made mr. whaley last summer for my cousin and I do miss him so  Cry

Super adorable!!! I wish he'd swim to my house next. I would have never thought to use corduroy to make a whale.  Great touch.

Aw, Thanks everyone for the sweet replies
I free-handed this little guy (that what I get for procrastinating, haha)
Basically, on the wrong side of the fabric, I drew the whale sans the flippers.
Sewed it right sides facing, remembering to leave a space to turn him right side out.
Then I sewed up four flippers and sewed them on the body in the right places.
I used those plastic doll eyes that come with a washer and ta-da, theres mr. whaley
 Cheesy
that pretty much goes for most simply shaped stuffies so you could totally customize it!

feel free to ask anything
I'll be happy to help out
