Hey, thanks for all the kind compliments! You guys are the BEST!

This quilt and the Fantasy Stenciled Rag Quilt were fun to make ... I like learning new techniques, and think I have found a new passion in life - BLEACH! Back in the 80's I bleached and dyed a pair of 501's and they were my most favouritest jeans in the whole wide world (not so much my Mom's fave, but that was her hang up, not mine!) and creating these quilts took me back to high school. Ah, to be young and skinny again ...   Wink

Now I'm stenciling and bleaching EVERYTHING ... DH is terrified I'll be attacking his clothes next!   Grin

Thats a great quilt!  I am surprised at how well the stenciling and bleaching turned out.  I figured the bleach would bleed, but your lines are so crisp!

I also have a question.  The pigma pens that you used to make the label,  Will that wash out?

AWSOME Job, my friend!  I like the color scheme, but I like mine more Tongue

Did you post the other on here?  I'd love to see it.
Thats right, I'm the crazy lucky craftster that receieved Kimby.'s first bleached rag quilt. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=246819.msg2732607#msg2732607  Heres the link to her post for those interested.

I also have a question.  The pigma pens that you used to make the label,  Will that wash out?
She used the same thing on mine and I've washed it a couple times with no fading.

I used bleach gel pens ... the gel keeps the lines from bleeding. I did have a bit of bleeding when using a thinner denim, but generally speaking, the bleach pens worked great.

Micron Pigma pens are fantastic. They are colour-fast, and they don't bleed as much as other fabric pens. It helps if you stabilize the fabric with freezer paper, too.

This is wonderful! It sometimes difficult to know how a boy will react to a crafty gift, but I'll bet he loves this!
