I made this for a friend's first baby. Mama is a fashionplate so baby had to be, too!

Sorry I can't post pictures yet.

The baby was due in spring so I wanted it to be lightweight. I ordered a few different color combos of Shine Sport cotton from KnitPicks, but when they arrived none were quite right. I busted my stash and found that I had a nice silk/cotton blend my mom had given me that went well with the Willow color.

Unfortunately, I had ordered Willow as an accent color, and I didn't have much of the stash buster yarn, so I decided to make it teeny tiny to welcome her into the world (smaller than the 3 mo pattern). I busted the fabric and button stash to make the corsage - I've never sewed something on so well!

The pattern was kind of a bear, but I'm happy with the final result. I widened all of the edging in an attempt to make it a bit more contemporary. I also decided against any buttons since it didn't seem like the pattern allowed for the button placket to actually overlap. But, all in all, I think this is my favorite project yet!

PS: I used to respond to other posts under cozysf, but I've moved across the bay. This is my first topic!

I like the sweater--very simple and sweet. Pity I don't have access to the second book.
