Honestly, I think that depends a lot on how oily your skin is  - http://www.aad.org/public/Publications/pamphlets/Acne.htm.  My skin is extremely oily, and I break out if I forget to wash my face. A few times I've been camping, I've come home with terrible breakouts.  I think there is warning against washing your face too much, see http://www.sciencebase.com/how_to_get_rid_of_acne.html , but it counts more than twice as 'too much'.

you should wash your face lightly to remove any excess oil or dirt but if you take off all the oil your skin goes crazy and produces a huge excess of oil to replace the stuff you washed off, leaving you with oilier skin than you had in the first place.

I guess i would agree that washing my face consistantly - tends to leading to more breakouts for me. I never used to wash my face other than with water in the shower, and i dont now- I never break out unless it is from stress.

my mom did a strange thing. she put a spoon with orange essence in the sugar container, and now the sugar smells really good!  Shocked soooo, as soon as she stops flipping out about me making a mess, i'm planning on adding some oil to it and making a sugar scrub. anyone know how long this would keep in the fridge? or if it would be better just to make enough for one shower.

and what kind of oil?? olive, canola?! eep Embarrassed
