Made this for dinner last night, and it was so easy, yummy and a hit with the family units.

Ingrdients:
Rhodes Pizza Dough (see image below)
Cheese (I used mozzarella)
fresh veggies (I used peppers, mushrooms)
1 clove fresh garlic clove
fresh basil leaves
olive oil
marinara sauce for dipping

Roll dough into saucer size circle (about 6-8 inches). Fill with desired fresh veggies and cheese. Fold in half and seal edges firmly, or the cheese will ooze out of control as baking.

Crush garlic clove, and tear fresh basil leaves. Mix in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and brush on tops of calzone. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes, or till nice and golden brown.

One calzone will easily feed 2 people. I made 4 and we only at 2. Served mine with a fresh salad, side of marinara for dipping and called it dinner. Stupid easy. I'm all about easy.  Smiley

Mmmm....that does look good.  Looks better then the pizzareas!

Too bad there is not smell-o-monitor invented yet. The garlic and fresh basil smelled absolutely mouth watering when it was baking.  Tongue

The store closest to my house doesn't have those crusts, all they have is Boboli, which I'm not sure would work. That's a great idea, though, and the crust looks great!

Any brand of pizza dough will work from the freezer section. I use Rhodes cause I like it, it is in my grocer and it is kosher. Smiley

those look good! (and your Cocker Spaniel is ADORABLE, by the way!) is there any way to make the dough really thin? I like tasting the filling more than the bread.

Thank you for the comment on Josey. Smiley Your pooch is adorable also! Is that a cocker, too?

To make the dough thinner you can cut it into 4ths instead of in half. Then when you roll it out it will be thinner.

Yes, she's a 10 year old cocker too. She's shaved in this pic though. We shave off her hair in the summer to help relieve her from heat and help her skin "breathe" so to speak.
