a little non-foodish but what about candy? other than jelly belly's which I'm so not a fan of, I can't seem to find information on whether a specific candy has pork gelatin in it any sources or tips?

i'm a big fan of falafel myself, but I cheat because we buy them in dearborn, mi and they're all ready and prepared, frozen and you just have to pop them in the oven. mmmmm. delishy.

Trader's Joe's Chickenless strips = UGH. Bad taste, bad texture, and with teriyaki sauce on them too! Usually I consider chicken-like alternatives a pretty safe bet, but these proved me wrong.

I bought some fake chicken nuggets from TJ's once.  I couldn't eat them.  They were disgusting.  Kind of fishy tasting.  Just thinking about them makes my stomach turn.  I think I got my boyfriend to finish the box.

I don't know if anyone has posted these already but they are hands down the best "VeggieBurgers" I have ever eaten. I highly recommend them, especially when lightly coated with olive oil, crushed garlic and bruchetta seasoning before you toss them on the grill or in the toaster oven like I often do.

Ohhhhh yeahhhhhh....they were a big letdown to me too. I found that Morningstar Farms Buffalo "Chicken" nuggets were the best in my fake nugget travels so far. I even got my meat loving family to like them. I think at first they suspected it wasn't meat but kept eating anyways. It wasn't until I saw someone go for the last one that I heard "Kym, this is hippie tofurky s--t, isn't it?" I just laughed.

I had the Ian's french bread pizza with soy cheese tonight - I was expecting not to like it but I did and so did my meat-eatin' boyfriend!

Starlight vegan styled beef and chicken taquitos are yummy and my new fave. I made red rice to go with them tonight and served 'em up with salsa and guac!

I second the suggestion of TJ's veggie masala burgers. So good, even without a bun or anything. They're pretty spicy and the texture is much softer than meat imitation burgers since I think they're potato-based, but they're definitely tasty.

Also, TJ's vegan vegetable fried rice is really good too! Not many calories either.
