Since my partner, sophieangele, is in Eretz Yisroel (lucky girl!), for the next few months she asked me to photograph the items I sent for the swap. So here is what I made for her, and I hope it is worth the wait till she gets back home.  Smiley

She mentioned she wanted a Mizrach, and I had been wanting to paint for awhile. This gave me the reason to do just that.

Got my inspiration from the morning bracha, "Blessed are you Hashem for giving the heart understanding to distinguish between day and night." The silver is for sunset, and the gold is for sunrise.

sophieangele had Wisted the matzah oven mitts I made from Pesach. So I made her oven mitts and a matching apron from the same fabric.

Then lastly I added in two special keys from my private collection. It is my favorite saying, "Oy Vey".

The whole package:

I really enjoyed making these for my partner. This was a fun swap, and I hope we do it again!  Smiley

Wow, somehow I completely missed it when this swap started.  Oh well, I will enjoy browsing the gallery and remind myself that I really didn't have time to do this anyway Wink

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I like the oven mitts.  They are so cool (when using them).

*Gasp!* HSG, those are gorgeous! Thank you so much! I can't wait to get home and open it up for myself Smiley Really, you have spoiled me. I'm feeling nervous about my package now, I don't know I can live up to the standard set.

Seriously, the mizrach is just beautiful and exactly what I have always wanted (I have a post-it note for a mizrach atm, hehe, it's in serious need of replacement), so classy and beautiful colours. I love how the colours have a meaning too, it will be a wonderful reminder when I wake up every morning to bless Hashem. Such lovely calligraphy too, I'm really impressed. My Ivrit handwriting looks like a five year old was let loose with the crayons..! And I'm looking forward to Pesach now for some serious matzah-mitt action Cheesy

And Oy Vey goodness! Hee hee hee, I'm going to get my friend Jamie to install them on my keyboards as soon as I'm back from Eretz Yisrael (I think they'll make good 'Esc' keys. Program not responding? Oy Vey! Wink)

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm just bowled over by how awesome your swap package is, and I hope you get lots of oohs and ahhs from the other crafty Jews. Toda Raba, and I hope you like your swap package when it arrives!

HSG, that is some amazing work!!  Those "oy vey" keys would make great "any" keys (y'know, "press any key to continue" Cheesy ) - I love the mizrach, and where on earth did you find matzo-print fabric?!
