Hey Craftsters! I found this huuuge XXL shirt on the clearance rack for ONE DOLLAR! I love the material, super soft and stretchy. I made it over the course of two days, working off and on. I'm very happy with how it turned out and it's probably my most successful recon. to date.
The black contrast bands are just scraps of another old t-shirt I had laying around leftover from a recon gone bad. =P

This is what it looked like before:

And here it is now!

BACK - It's hard to see, but I added two darts running down most the length of the back part of the dress for a better shape.

CLOSE-UP OF BUST - Woo, super blurry, sorry!

BOTTOM RUFFLES - Dang I have some veiney hands.

Thanks for looking! Hope you folks like it, questions and comments always appreciated! Kiss

Wow!  That is fantabulous.  Awesome work.. it fits your perfectly!  I love the black fabric strips on it, and the ruffles at the bottom make it so cute.

Very sweet, I like it a lot. I would probably wear this and I am not a dress person much less one for ruffles Smiley Great job!

Hey Fiber People: I am very interested in personal swaps for painted/dyed roving or top. I can swap supplies or crafted items. Let's talk!

Fantastic recon! A $1.00 dress woo hoo!

The black trim really makes it pop, and the bust and ruffle detail make it especially feminine Smiley

Very cute.  I usually don't post on clothes b/c I can not sew, but this is really cute.

PM me if you are interested in a personal swap.
