You know, I did get sick of it at one point. But I so wanted to finish it and actually have an FO that I pushed through. It's worth it though. But it's given me the motiviation I need to actually get other projects done. I think I'll make another one eventually, out of lace.  I love my clappy!

I started this a week ago and i'm through a lot. I missed the YO part on row 6 of section 3 and I tried to add the extra stitch at the end of row 8. Am I ever gonna get back on track with the pattern? I don't have the same number of stitches anymore before and after the repeats on each row, but it seems to look ok and all the twisted stitches are in the right places.

You really need that YO where it's supposed to be, cause I think it would mess something up, or else the YO's wouldn't be where they are. You may need to frog back to that point. I think it keeps the dropped stitch from unravelling the edge, not sure what kind of problems that would cause, but I'm guessing something bad.

Woot! I finished mine today! The knitting, at least. I have like ten skeins' worth of ends to weave in. I'm close to finishing a sweater too, so I'm just going to have a big ol' block party some time next week. But here's tricks as of now:

It's Andean Silk in Slate. It's really soft, but it sheds a bit, and it's pretty grabby so I really had to work at dropping stitches. I love it!

I guess I didn't have to frog it. I found out you can just do a M1 (which I did) and keep going. Also the yarn I use is really sticky (noro silk garden) and dropping the stitches wasn't easy. So, I"m guessing it's not about to unravel!

I finished something!

here is my clap.....

I used silk-garden yarn, but I forget what shade... (lost the ballbands!)...  I had hurt my back really badly in a car accident (L1 crush fracture - ie I broke my back!!!) and was having to spend lots of time lying down....... so I got DH to take the pattern into the yarn shop and get what he needed......  poor guy nearly had a heart attack when he found out how much it cost LOL (but that serves him right - he was driving the car and came out with nothgin more than burns to his hands from the airbag!).....

anyhow it took me about 10 days to knit in total (I said that I was lying down with nothing better to do - you can't read easily lying on your back!).......

It does need blocking as it has a tendancy to curl but is a gorgeous wrap/scarf.....

another pic

Tajhia, I am sorry to hear about the accident, how terrible for you! I am impressed with the beauty of your Clapotis.

May you have a speedy recovery...

I'm making mine right now but it makes me sad to see the colorful ones - mine is plain plain plain.  Which I'm sure I'll be happy about later, but for now I'm bored....
I'm actually further than this but I just didn't feel like taking another picture.  I'll post the final when I'm done.
