I just discovered this KAL a week ago - had to try it! Here's my first effort. Trekking XXL, 2 balls, size 8 needles. Did the amount of increases called for in the pattern, but did a total of 24(!) repeats of the straight rows. Ran a bit short of yarn at the end - instead of frogging, just decreased a little faster. Tossed it in the washing machine, then the dryer. It came out so soft, but here's a hint - don't dry your Clap in the same load as, say, a bra... the hooks made two pulls that I haven't figured out how to fix.

Total cost - $22.00. On the needles for seven days.

LOL.. I was trying to think of what those colors were reminding me of!

I do like it.. I'm making an all neutral color one right now... and am enjoying it enough to consider another one somewhere down the line in brighter colors too...  I'll have to keep this one in mind!

Hi! Thought I'd share mine--The top one was made in December from Noro Silk Garden shade #232. I did one extra increase. The bottom one I finished last week--it's made from SW Trading Co's Phoenix soy silk yarn in "Purplexed"

I did a kind of half-assed blocking, where I hand washed them and then hung them on a towel rack to dry. I think it worked ok, except the edges might need some extra blocking or something.

I love knitting this - it is perfect for watching TV or taking to my knitting group!  I am knitting it with Red Heart Luster Sheen (it is a mercenized cotton) - knitting turned me onto natural fibers and higher end yarn (called a yarn snob at times!), but I love this stuff.  It is soft and silky with draping quality and all of my favorite colors.  I need to retract all of my Red Heart bashing of the past.

Don't be ashamed of liking Luster Sheen. It does drape really nicely. I thought it was 100% acrylic, though, and just looks like a mercerized cotton? Or should I go look at the labels again? I have several skeins of it in Green Tea; maybe I should do something with them.

I tossed the labels when I wound them into balls - alas.  I think it is cotton, but maybe not!  I love it nonetheless!!

Here is my progress so far. It's going SLOW. I only seem to get in 1 row here, 3 rows there, and it's going to be some time before this thing is complete. I'm only on the 4th round of straight rows. But I'm quite happy with how it's coming out so far. It's Malabrigo merino, color = Amoroso. Figured I'd post a progress photo since I'm so darn happy about my dropped ladders -- sure adds some nice texture to what had been a fairly boring project up until the point that I started dropping stitches.





This bottom photo is a good representation of the variation in shades in this yarn...
