Hi everyone. I have a question - since the yahoo group is closed, is there any way to get a copy of the spreadsheet? I'm partway through my clapotis and know that I would like to make more. Thanks!

I've started a clapotis. I'm using Red Heart Symphony, which is a soft yarn, but fuzzy. I know I'm going to regret this Cheesy

I have a question though. I have 2 colors (a total of 4 balls) and I want to add stripes. Where do you gys think it would look the best? I'm thinking from CO to the first drop in A, then 2 drops in B, then 2 drops in A, and finishing off with A.

These http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/273889.htmlhttp://store.knitting-warehouse.com/304085.html are the colors I'm using. Yardage wise, I should only need 3 balls.

Casmir, http://soulknitting.blogspot.com/2007/04/clapotis-spread-sheet.html has an Excel spreadsheet you can download.

Thanks for the spreadsheets! Now to spend some time with them.
Here's another question - I bought some handpainted rayon chenille on ebay, pretty thin like a size 2 or so, very beautiful. Would a chenille be too sticky for the dropped stitches? I'm having visions of the colors flowing around in the design and forgot about the practicality of the yarn.

The only way to know is to start the pattern and do about 2-3 increase sections, then drop one or more of the stitches at some point. If it works out fine, then just keep going, leave the top bar of the dropped stitch on the needle and treat it as a regular stitch on your next row. I'd think it will drop a whole lot easier than the Symphony that shewolf is using. I made a sweater with that and while it's nice and fuzzy and soft, was sometimes a real pain to knit with.

I'm using Araucania Quellon, which is a chenille that is mostly made of rayon. I am not having too much trouble dropping the stitches, though I do have to help them along. Mine is turning out insanely beautiful, so I recommend going for it.

An update to keep me knitting. I'm almost done with the increase rows (6th repeat, row 6) and started my striping. It looks a lot better than I thought it would.  I'll probably post a picture when I start the next color change. If nothing else, it will be more incentive Cheesy

At this rate, it will be ready just in time for cold weather!

This took me about a month of on-and-off-again knitting (I tend to work on multiple projects at once).  It's knit out of a double strand of Knitpicks Shimmer in the Happy Dance colorway.  It's pretty bright, but I love it!  Now it just has to stop being 95 degrees and humid so that I can actually try it out...
