This is my 2nd quilt.  I dont know if it technically qualifies as a quilt because it doesnt have any batting.  My daughter loves to be tucked in, but all she had was this thick comforter.  It is waaaay to hot for that so i made her this.  I was determined to use only what i had on hand.  I ended up having to buy some more thread, other than that i was successful.  I had intended for it to be all blue with some white and cream.  however, I had to use green, purple, and a tiny bit of orange for the corners on the front.

and the back.  (couldn't keep my daughter from dancing across the quilt as i took the picture):

here is my favorite fabric in the whole world. So glad it's found a happy home!:

I'm so glad this thing is done.  I have no desire to machine sew a mock cathedral quilt again.  Getting everything to line up was horrible.

That is sooooo gorgeous! I only made a rag quilt for my second quilt...  You've inspired me to step it up a notch for my third!

Thanks everyone for your kind words, they are very encouraging.  I'm kind of in that, "I've finished a big project, now what" sort of funk.

wonderbean:  Just thought I'd clarify, I did all the stitching/piecing on this quilt by machine.  Even the blanket type stitch that i quilted around the curves. (that was an interesting trial by fire.  not very fun going around the curves.)

It would have turned out more even and things would have matched up if i had pieced and quilted this quilt by hand.  I just didn't have the time, since this was one of those projects that needed to be finished "yesterday".

Thanks again everyone!!!!! Smiley
